Hampshire Cheese Company is based in Herriard, 20 miles away from Sky Park Farm and nestled in the green valleys of Hampshire. The multi-award winning, artisan cheesemaker has joined the ranks of the best cheeses in the world with their much loved Tunworth and Winslade handcrafted soft cheeses.
Both cheeses are made with cow’s milk from herds of a mixed herd of Holstein / Friesian, Swiss Brown and Montbeliarde cows giving a creamy high protein milk which is perfect for cheesemaking.
Tunworth is a soft mould ripened cheese with a full flavour and is fantastic paired with an English sparkling wine. When ripe Tunworth has a texture which is soft and unctuous with a full earthy flavour. Winslade has a more gentle floral flavour and is best served using a spoon. Its spruce band imparts a distinctive piney note. Delicious paired with a local cider.
Serving such top quality cheeses made locally is a privilege. We serve these cheeses in various dishes on our menu and it’s also available to take home from our Deli. Every part of these products are made by hand by experts using traditional methods and true passion and we’re proud to be able to share these local cheeses with our customers as part of our 30 mile mission.
