Shopping habits are evolving – with many of us taking care to limit our waste by focusing on our daily needs. Buying local, reducing packaging and choosing sustainable products are just a few of the ways we can all do our bit to protect our planet for future generations.
Small Business Saturday UK is a grassroots, non-commercial campaign which highlights small business success and encourages consumers to shop local and support businesses in their communities. At Sky Park Farm, we are very proud of the local suppliers, many of whom are small local businesses, that we are able to showcase across our shops and in our menus.
From meat available from our Butcher to the fresh milk supplied by Meon Valley Milk, we are proud to support many exceptional quality local businesses. Here are just a few examples:
- NOBLE AND STACE CHOCOLATIERS Every one of the Noble and Stace chocolates is handcrafted in their dedicated chocolate kitchen in Midhurst, West Sussex, by Mike, their expert chocolatier. Searching out award-winning local ingredients from fellow artisan producers who share their passion for creating incredible products, the fresh cream ganaches are blended with just the right amount of key ingredients like gin, wine, natural oils, coffee or even mineral water! The chocolates are then dipped, decorated and piped by hand before being lovingly packed by hand.
- HAMPSHIRE CHEESE COMPANY is based in Herriard, 20 miles away from Sky Park Farm and nestled in the green valleys of Hampshire. The multi-award winning, artisan cheesemaker has joined the ranks of the best cheeses in the world with their much loved Tunworth and Winslade handcrafted soft cheeses. Both cheeses are made with cow’s milk from herds of a mixed herd of Holstein / Friesian, Swiss Brown and Montbeliarde cows giving a creamy high protein milk which is perfect for cheesemaking.
- THE COLD PRESSED OIL COMPANY was founded in 2012 by Charlie Gardner, “To produce the best quality and flavoured cold pressed rapeseed oil possible”. Located in Hampshire, just 20 miles from Sky Park Farm, Cold Pressed Oil produces their oil from the fields that surround their processing plant, keeping food miles to a minimum. Multi-award winning, The Cold Pressed team knows every detail of their crops, watching them grow throughout the year and only selecting the ripest seeds to crush to ensure the highest quality of oil, year after year.
The Farm Shop is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm and Sundays 9am to 4.30pm. Our Farm Experience and Visitor Centre are open Tuesday to Sunday, 9am to 4pm. Sky Park Farm has something for everyone.
