Celebrate World Chocolate Day 7th July

07.07.2022

World Chocolate Day is an annual celebration of all things chocolate! While chocolate is made from the fruit of cacao trees, native to Central and South America, chocolatiers are peppered all across the world, crafting sensational sweet treats that are tantalisingly tasty!

The first chocolate bar was invented by British confectioners in 1847 and now roughly 1 billion people eat chocolate every day.

Did you know it takes 400 cacao beans to make 450 grams of chocolate!

At Sky Park Farm, we love chocolate so much we have even created our own specialist patisserie fridge in our Deli which has handmade chocolates from local Sussex chocolatiers Noble and Stace – including our very own bespoke Sky Park Farm chocolates. In our Farm Shop you can find something for all chocolate tastes from local Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire producers:

Many people believe that chocolate – particularly dark chocolate – is actually good for you. At Sky Park Farm we just believe that a little of what you fancy does you good! For younger palates, or even for bikers looking for a nutritious drink to keep energy levels up, visitors can create their own chocolate milkshake or oat milkshake from our milk vending machines, just add the chocolate syrup to enjoy either as a take away, at the Grazing Rooms or to take on a picnic along the Farm Trail. For those Little Fawns in need of something a little more fresh and filling, don’t forget our Grazing Rooms dessert menu offers both an ice cream sundae and chocolate brownie.
