Vintage Tractor Day at Sky Park Farm 14th August

Vintage Tractor Day 14th August 2022 10am – 2pm
We are delighted to welcome the SouthDown Vintage Tractor Club to Sky Park Farm on Sunday 14th August from 10am to 2pm. Over fifteen magnificent vintage tractors will be parked within the Farm Experience in one of our paddocks.
Booking in advance is recommended.
The SouthDown Vintage Tractor Club meet monthly, and twice a year take the tractors out on the road to meet villagers across the country, often seen at rural fairs. The huge variety of tractors include well known brands such as Ford, Grey Fergie, Massey Ferguson, Nuffield, John Deere. The oldest tractors stem from the 1940s. With no electronics, the owners have accumulated extensive knowledge of tractor maintenance often using a simple spanner!
While farming practice has evolved significantly in recent decades, nothing is more evocative of the traditional methods than vintage tractors. Aspiring young farmers and tractor lovers of all ages can enjoy the opportunity to explore these tractors – come and take a seat, chat to the farmers and learn first hand how these magnificent machines work.
